Washer and Dryer are kind of a MUST wouldn't ya say?

So, we ask the architect were does the washer and dryer go?
Oh, you mean it does not fit in the garage because you designed the garage at a minimum.
So, we do need a washer and dryer. Oh but you have not designed space for one
I can not believe as I am pulling out my hair, screaming
What's up with architects? come down to earth and think in "real life"
as in kids, laundry, storage, paint cans, pets,
I could go on

How about another little box (30"x30") attached to the garage like the one for the downstairs furnace on the right side of the meters. You could use a stackable unit and no door. That garage has direct access to the house and it could protrude 6 inches inside the garage without making it hard for the passengers to get out of the car supposing you drive head first. The box wouldn't stick out of the house anymore than the furnace box so I imagine it could be allowed eventhough it bites on the 5' away from the property line rule. Of course you need to include the drain line in the foundation/slab plans and not forget water, vent, electrical, gas lines.

The planning and building dept will not allow anything sticking out
so the w/d is going in the Ms Bedroom closet, well it's not really our bedroom it is the guest/tv room/hang out for kids room/when my parents get old their room. We are taking the smaller room to the right, which still feels very big!
